IHPST 2024 Buenos Aires – Teachers’ Session

We are now accepting proposals for the Teachers’ Session, where teachers who work with the History, Philosophy, and Sociology of science in K-12 (i.e. primary and secondary) education, are invited to share experiences and discuss the potentials and challenges of their practices with the community. About the session:
1. This is a hybrid (in-person and virtual) session, where both participants of the Conference and online presenters can present their proposals. Also, it will be streamed free of charge for anyone online!
2. Each presentation will be rewarded with a certificate from the conference. The proposals can be sent to ihpst2024@gmail.com, with deadline on June 30th.
3. There will be one hybrid session with five (5) accepted presentations. Each proposal will have 15 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes of questions, and can be organized freely. However, it is suggested that it includes: the context of your pedagogical practice (external and internal to your institution), your approach/framework with HPSS, content taught, dynamics inside and outside the classroom, proposed activities, evaluation, student reactions, faculty or institutional reaction to your practices, and examples of student productions be addressed.
4. There is a possibility for the opening of another room to accept five (5) more presentations, but it will be only in presence.
5. All online participants will be able to submit questions throughout the session, which will be read between presentations.
6. Aside from the general quality of the proposal, they will be evaluated considering the diversity of their contexts, prioritizing presentations from different countries and continents.
